Jharkhand News : The valedictory ceremony of the four-month residential Transformer Repair and Maintenance Training Programme, sponsored by Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL), was held at the Jamshedpur Notified Technical Vocational Training Institute (JNTVTI).
PVUNL Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ashok Kumar Sehgal, who attended the event as the chief guest, presided over the ceremony and presented certificates to the successful trainees. He congratulated them on successfully completing the programme and wished them success in their future careers.
The training programme was conducted under PVUNL’s Community Development (CD) initiative. A total of 20 volunteers from villages surrounding the project area were selected to undergo the residential training. During the four-month programme, each trainee received a monthly stipend of ₹9,000, sponsored by PVUNL.
Addressing the gathering, CEO Ashok Kumar Sehgal encouraged the trainees to utilize the technical knowledge and practical skills they had acquired with dedication, discipline, and integrity. He expressed confidence that the programme would open new avenues for employment and self-employment while contributing to the development of a skilled workforce for the power sector in Jharkhand.
He said the initiative aligns with the Government of Jharkhand’s vision of reducing the skill gap and ensuring the availability of qualified manpower in the electricity distribution and supply sector. PVUNL, he added, remains committed to supporting the state’s overall development through similar skill development and community welfare initiatives in the future.
The ceremony was attended by Jaya Singh Panda, Chief Learning & Development and Chief Diversity Officer at Tata Steel, along with other officials and staff members of JNTVTI.
Representing PVUNL, Ziaur Rahman, Head of Human Resources (HOHR), along with Kothamasu Suresh, Amar Dayal Singh, and Santosh Kumar Singh, also participated in the programme.
