Jharkhand News : The CBSE Cluster-III Badminton Championship, hosted by Delhi Public School, Gaya, concluded on Sunday with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit. The tournament, sponsored by CBSE, New Delhi, was held from July 31 to August 2, 2026, with participation from 380 shuttlers representing 70 selected schools from Bihar and Jharkhand.
Players of Jawahar Vidya Mandir (JVM), Shyamali, delivered an outstanding performance at the championship, showcasing exceptional skill, agility, and strategic brilliance throughout the tournament.
The biggest highlight of the event came in the Under-17 Boys Team Event final, where JVM Shyamali’s quartet of Dhairya Kumar Sahu, Vihan Kisku, Arnav Kumar Choudhary, and Samwith Ramesh put up a remarkable display of teamwork and attacking badminton. They defeated a strong team from DAV Gandhi Nagar to clinch the Gold Medal and the championship title.
Adding another feather to JVM Shyamali’s achievement, Samwith Ramesh was named the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’ for his exceptional performance and consistent excellence on the court.
JVM Shyamali also impressed in the Under-14 Girls Team Event, where Anvi Singh, Kavya Roy, and Jigisha Narendra fought their way to the final and secured the Silver Medal. They finished as runners-up after a closely contested final against Sarala Birla School, Ranchi, earning appreciation for their determination and fighting spirit.
With this remarkable performance, the JVM Shyamali shuttlers have qualified to represent the school at the upcoming National Championship, where they will compete at the national level.
Expressing his pride over the achievement, JVM Shyamali Principal B. N. Jha congratulated the players and said that the success was a result of their hard work, discipline, and dedication. He said the Under-17 boys’ gold medal victory and Samwith Ramesh’s recognition as the Best Player reflected the team’s champion mindset, while the Under-14 girls’ silver medal showcased their talent and never-give-up attitude.
He expressed confidence that the young shuttlers would continue to excel at the national stage and bring further glory to the school.
