Police Raid Hotel Over Suspected Sex Racket, Three Women Rescued in Koderma

Jharkhand News : Acting on the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, a special police team conducted a late-night raid at Baba Line Hotel in Urwan under the Tilaiya Dam police station area and uncovered a suspected illegal sex trade operation, police said.

According to police, three women were rescued from the premises and six people were arrested during the operation. Those arrested have been identified as Ranjit Kumar, Birendra Kumar, Kishore Prasad and Mohammad Ehtesham, who were allegedly involved in the illegal activities. Police also arrested Kailash Prasad Verma, who allegedly acted as a broker, and hotel manager Ravi Kumar.

Objectionable Items Recovered

During the raid, police recovered and seized several items from the hotel premises, including condoms, liquor, empty liquor bottles, cigarettes and performance-enhancing tablets. The seized materials are being examined as part of the investigation.

Police also seized two four-wheelers and an electric scooter allegedly belonging to the accused.

Hotel Operator Absconding

The hotel operator reportedly fled the premises during the raid. Police teams are conducting searches at possible locations to trace and arrest him.

Preliminary investigation has also indicated that the hotel allegedly provided special accommodation arrangements for people coming from outside, police said.

Police Probing Wider Network

Police are now investigating the suspected network and examining hotel records, financial transactions and the possible involvement of other individuals.

Officials said further legal action would be taken based on the evidence collected during the investigation.
