Jharkhand News : Grizzly Public School, located at Satpuliya, Gumo, organized a special “Kitchenette Activity” for its UKG students to introduce them to healthy eating habits and basic food preparation skills in a fun and safe environment.
The activity area was creatively decorated with a kitchen and nutrition theme. Teachers began the session by introducing children to common kitchen essentials and explaining the importance of fresh fruits and a balanced diet. The initiative aimed to familiarize young learners with simple, no-fire food preparation techniques while encouraging healthy eating habits from an early age.
As part of the hands-on activity, the children prepared fruit chaat without using fire. They brought fruits such as guava, banana, pomegranate, apple, and pear from home, mixed them together, and creatively presented their healthy snack.
The school said that such practical activities help develop self-reliance, hygiene awareness, teamwork, and a preference for nutritious food over junk food. The students participated with great enthusiasm, making the event both educational and enjoyable.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Neerja appreciated the efforts of the children and emphasized that practical life skills, along with academic learning, play a vital role in a child’s overall development.
The event was successfully coordinated by Vice Principal Vandana Narayan, Coordinator Pooja Jha, and teachers Tanu Priya, Khushboo Kumari, Poonam Tejpal, Sunita Kumari, Deepti Gupta, and Sakshi Sinha.
