Old Silver Coins Found in Debris After Mud House Collapses Due to Heavy Rain in Hazaribagh

Jharkhand News: A surprising incident was reported on Friday morning from Amanari village in Tatijharia block of Hazaribagh district, where an old mud house collapsed due to continuous rainfall. While clearing the debris, the family discovered several old silver coins, drawing the attention of villagers from the surrounding area.

The collapsed house belonged to Badhan Mahto. According to local residents, the walls of the mud house had weakened because of persistent rain, causing a large portion of the structure to cave in suddenly.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, and there was no loss of life, as all family members escaped unharmed.

Discovery Sparks Curiosity

The discovery of the silver coins created excitement throughout the village. Soon after the news spread, a large number of people gathered at the site to see the coins.

Residents have offered different theories about their origin. Some believe the coins may have been hidden by the family’s ancestors as savings, while others suspect they could be centuries old and of historical significance.

Authenticity Yet to Be Verified

The age, historical importance, and value of the recovered silver coins have not yet been officially confirmed. Authorities are expected to examine the coins to determine their origin and historical significance.
