Jharkhand News : Grizzly School, Tilaiya Dam, organised a Moral Values, Meditation and Anti-Drug Awareness Programme under the ’10 Crore Drug-Free Pledge Campaign–2026′, in collaboration with the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya. The programme aimed to promote moral values, positive thinking and awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse among students.
The event, held in the school auditorium, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. It began with a welcome address by Sumit Kumar Singh, Assistant Personality Development Trainer of the Students Service Cell, who greeted the guests and participants.
School CEO Prakash Gupta and Principal Anjana Kumari welcomed Brahma Kumari Gayatri Didi and Brahma Kumari Julie Didi by presenting them with saplings, symbolising the institution’s commitment to environmental conservation, ethical values and a brighter future.
Addressing the students, Brahma Kumari Julie Didi spoke about the importance of moral values, strong character and a drug-free lifestyle. She explained that substance abuse adversely affects not only physical health but also mental well-being, family relationships and future prospects. She encouraged students to embrace self-respect, discipline and positive values while staying away from addictions.
Brahma Kumari Gayatri Didi conducted a session on Rajyoga Meditation, guiding students on developing positive thinking, mental peace and inner strength. She highlighted that regular meditation helps students manage stress, achieve holistic personality development and maintain emotional balance alongside academic success.
During the programme, students were educated about the physical, psychological, social and emotional consequences of drug abuse. They also took the Drug-Free Pledge, administered by Brahma Kumari Julie Didi, committing themselves to remain free from addiction and spread awareness about a drug-free society.
In a joint message, CEO Prakash Gupta and Principal Anjana Kumari said the school’s mission extends beyond academic excellence to nurturing moral values, self-discipline, positive thinking and social responsibility. They noted that such awareness programmes inspire students to adopt healthy and addiction-free lifestyles while contributing to the vision of a stronger and more developed India.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Sumit Kumar Singh, who expressed gratitude to Brahma Kumari Gayatri Didi, Brahma Kumari Julie Didi, representatives of the Brahma Kumaris Centre, Jhumri Tilaiya, and teacher Alok for their valuable support in organising the event. The school reaffirmed its commitment to conducting similar initiatives to promote ethical values, positive thinking and a drug-free lifestyle among students.
