Jharkhand Assembly Tables Rs 8,399 Crore First Supplementary Budget Amid Opposition Uproar

Jharkhand News : Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore on Friday presented the first supplementary budget for the financial year 2026–27 in the Jharkhand Assembly amid persistent protests by the Opposition during the Monsoon Session.

The supplementary budget has a total outlay of Rs 8,399.31 crore.

While the budget was being presented, Opposition members continued raising slogans over alleged irregularities in the JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations. Despite the disruption, the Finance Minister tabled the supplementary budget in the House.

According to the government, the supplementary budget will be taken up for a detailed discussion during the ongoing Monsoon Session before it is put to a vote for passage.

Amid the uproar, reports of various Assembly committees were also tabled in the House.

Notably, due to continuous sloganeering and disruptions, Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato adjourned the House proceedings until 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
