Rainfall Across Jharkhand Including Ranchi, Weather Department Issues Alert

Jharkhand News : The monsoon remains active across Jharkhand, with several parts of the state, including the capital Ranchi, receiving continuous rainfall over the past few days. Heavy rain has also led to waterlogging in several areas.

According to the weather department, all districts of Jharkhand are likely to receive rainfall on Saturday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is possible in several districts. The continued rainfall has also brought down maximum temperatures across the state.

Heavy Rain and Lightning Alert in Several Districts

The weather department has warned of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in districts including Garhwa, Palamu, Latehar, Chatra, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Giridih, Deoghar and Dumka.

Heavy rain accompanied by lightning is also likely in Godda, Sahibganj, Pakur, Jamtara, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Gumla, Simdega, Khunti, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharsawan.

People Advised to Stay Alert

The weather department has advised people to remain indoors or move to a safe place during heavy rain and lightning. Farmers have also been advised to avoid going into fields during thunderstorms and lightning activity.

With the monsoon remaining active, residents in low-lying areas have been advised to remain alert for possible waterlogging and local disruption due to heavy rainfall.
