Jharkhand News : Security arrangements have been tightened across the capital ahead of the proposed students’ Assembly gherao on Monday. Additional security personnel have been deployed along major roads leading towards the Jharkhand Assembly, while barbed wire, barricades and water cannons have been kept ready to deal with any untoward situation.
Police-Administration on High Alert
The police and administration are on high alert in view of the students’ planned Assembly gherao. Special monitoring is being carried out in areas around the Assembly, while additional police forces have been deployed at sensitive locations.
Several layers of barricading have been put in place to prevent protesters from moving beyond the designated areas.
Water Cannons and Barricades Ready
As part of the security arrangements, water cannons have also been kept ready. Officials have instructed police personnel to maintain law and order and act with restraint in any situation.
Traffic arrangements may also be changed in view of the possibility of a large number of students gathering for the protest.
Administration Appeals for Peace
The administration has appealed to protesters to conduct their movement peacefully and maintain law and order. With the proposed Assembly gherao, security arrangements across Ranchi have come under close attention.
