Jharkhand News : A ‘Make a Rakhi and Send It by Post’ competition was organised on Monday at Ram Prasad Chandrabhan Saraswati Vidya Mandir, a prominent educational institution in Ramgarh district. Hundreds of students participated in the competition and prepared colourful rakhis for their brothers.
The students placed their handmade rakhis in envelopes and handed them over to the postal department, which will deliver them to their brothers. The initiative brought together creativity, sibling affection and the traditional spirit of Raksha Bandhan.
Students Connect with Tradition Through Creativity
School secretary Shankar Lal Agarwal attended the programme. He said such initiatives by the postal department help connect children with creativity and traditional values.
School principal Praveen Ji appreciated the postal department’s initiative. He said that in the age of mobile phones and digital communication, such programmes can help children learn about postal services and various schemes offered by the department.
He also praised the work of postal department officials and suggested that similar creative activities should continue to be organised at the school in the future.
Selected Students to Receive Awards
The postal department will select students who participated in the competition, and the selected participants will be honoured with prizes.
Ramgarh Sub-Division Marketing Executives Ravishankar Rai and Chandan Kumar Mahto, Postmaster Moh Jasim Khan, Ashish Kumar Jha and Shubham Kumar extended their support in making the programme successful.
From the school management, assistant teacher Sangeeta Mishra, Vikas Kumar Kushwaha, Kumkum Jha and others also contributed to the successful organisation of the event.
