- Twenty-nine Jharkhand Police officers and personnel will be honoured on Independence Day, including three IPS officers. One will receive the President’s Police Medal, five Gallantry Medals and 23 Medals for Meritorious Service.
Jharkhand News : Twenty-nine Jharkhand Police officers and personnel will be honoured with police medals on the occasion of Independence Day. The Home Department has released the list of officers and personnel selected for the awards, including three IPS officers.
This year, one police personnel will receive the President’s Police Medal, five will be honoured with Gallantry Medals and 23 will receive Medals for Meritorious Service. Five women police personnel are also among those selected for the honours.
One Officer to Receive President’s Police Medal
JAP-1 ASI Kailash Prasad Shrestha will receive the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service.
Those selected for Gallantry Medals include Latehar Sub-Inspector Vinay Kumar, IRB-4 ASI Pramod Kumar Rai, Latehar District Force constables Ved Prakash Mahto and Ramchandra Kumar Mahto, and IRB-1 Jamtara constable Krishna Murmu.
Three IPS Officers Selected for Meritorious Service
Among those selected for Medals for Meritorious Service are IG Rail Dr. Michaelraj S, IPS officer Annepu Vijayalakshmi, who is currently on central deputation, and DIG Kolhan Anuranjan Kispotta.
Police officers and personnel posted with the Special Branch, STF, Wireless, ITS Ranchi, CID, JAP and various districts have also been selected for Medals for Meritorious Service.
Women Police Personnel Also Among Awardees
Several women police personnel, including Manti Khalkho, Prabha Devi, Ranjita Kujur and Pushpa Odeya, are also among those selected for the honours.
The police officers and personnel will be honoured during the Independence Day celebrations for their service and contribution.
