Jharkhand News : Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Township Ground in Patratu. Senior management, employees, CISF personnel, students and families from the PVUNL township participated in the celebrations.
The programme was attended by A.K. Sehgal, CEO, PVUNL; Renu Sehgal, President, Swarnarekha Mahila Samiti; Vibhu Singh Pratihar; CISF Commandant Manish Khetrapal; CGM (O&M) Bishnu Dutta Dash; GM (Project) O.P. Solanki; GM (Administration & Maintenance) Arun Singh; GM (Operation) Prashant Patil; GM Ziaur Rahman, HoHR, along with other AGMs, senior officials, employees and their family members.
Flag Hoisting and Guard of Honour
The national flag was unfurled at the O&M Office, Project Office and Bal Bhawan, followed by the ceremonial flag hoisting at the Township Ground by PVUNL CEO Shri A.K. Sehgal.
The ceremony was followed by an impressive Guard of Honour presented by CISF personnel, students of DAV Public School and members of the DGR group.
CEO Highlights PVUNL’s Achievements
Addressing the gathering, A.K. Sehgal extended his warm Independence Day wishes and highlighted PVUNL’s achievements and progress.
He spoke about the organisation’s performance in technical excellence, operational efficiency, CSR initiatives and community development, while appreciating the collective efforts of employees and stakeholders in contributing to PVUNL’s growth.
Students Present Patriotic Cultural Programmes
The celebrations featured vibrant cultural performances by students of DAV Public School, Bal Bhawan and Srijan. The programmes showcased patriotism and India’s rich cultural heritage and were appreciated by the gathering.
Employees and Students Receive Awards
The programme also featured the distribution of various awards and prizes. CEO Meritorious Awards were presented to employees for their outstanding contributions and commitment.
Health Champion Awards, Safety Awards, prizes for Medha Pratiyogita winners and Utkarsh Merit Awards for meritorious students from government schools were also presented.
Multipurpose Hall and Badminton Court Inaugurated
PVUNL CEO A.K. Sehgal also inaugurated a Multipurpose Hall and Badminton Court in the township.
As part of PVUNL’s commitment to community welfare and social responsibility, the management distributed walking sticks to senior citizens from nearby communities and tricycles to beneficiaries.
The Independence Day celebration concluded with a renewed commitment to excellence, safety, community development and nation-building.
