Jharkhand News : Green Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at the Shishu Vatika section of Saraswati Vidya Mandir in the coal belt as part of the month of Sawan. Young students dressed in attractive costumes representing trees, plants, fruits, vegetables and other nature-related objects to spread the message of environmental conservation.
The children’s colourful costumes and enthusiasm created a vibrant green atmosphere across the school. They highlighted the importance of trees and plants, the benefits of greenery and the need for a clean and beautiful environment. The children were also encouraged to take a pledge to protect and conserve nature.
Principal Highlights Importance of Greenery
School Principal Umesh Prasad said greenery is not only an adornment of Mother Earth but also the foundation of prosperity and a healthy life. He said trees and plants are invaluable to human life.
He stressed that children should develop love for nature and a sense of responsibility towards environmental conservation from an early age. Such creative programmes, he said, play an important role in the overall development of children.
Children Participate Enthusiastically
Amrita Chaudhary, head of Shishu Vatika, said the children participated in Green Day with great enthusiasm. While learning about different trees, plants and other green objects, the children displayed curiosity and interest in nature.
She also appreciated the support of parents in making the programme successful.
Teachers Play an Important Role
The programme was successfully conducted with the significant contribution of teachers Amrita Chaudhary, Lalita Giri, Dr. Gayatri Pathak, Poonam Singh, Rani Kumari, Muskan Kumari, Rinki Kumari, Shweta Panda, Usha Kumari, Neelam Singh, Mamta Kumari and Jyoti Kumari.
The programme conveyed a positive message about environmental conservation to the children as well as the parents and teachers present at the event.
