Cancellation of Over 22 Jharkhand Recruitment Exams Reaches High Court

Jharkhand HC Rules: In Rural Areas, Panchayat Powers Override JRDA

Jharkhand News : The matter concerning the cancellation of more than 22 recruitment examinations, including JSSC CGL and the 11th to 13th JPSC examinations, by the Jharkhand government has reached the Jharkhand High Court. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the court has ordered that the case be listed for immediate hearing.

The matter is scheduled to be heard today, August 20, at 3:30 pm in the court of Justice Deepak Roshan.

Case Filed as Saurabh Singh and Others vs Jharkhand Government

The petition has been filed under the title Saurabh Singh and Others vs Jharkhand Government. The court permitted the petitioners to rectify certain preliminary defects pointed out by the Registry at a later stage and directed that the matter be listed for an urgent hearing.

Senior advocate Indrajit Sinha, along with other advocates, will represent the petitioners. The state government will be represented by government advocates.

Government Cancelled Over 22 Recruitment Examinations

It has been reported that the Jharkhand government issued a notification late on August 18 cancelling more than 22 recruitment examinations.

The decision has affected 1,932 selected candidates of the JSSC CGL examination and 342 officers appointed through the 11th to 13th JPSC examinations.

Candidates Await High Court Hearing

The government’s decision has triggered resentment among affected candidates. All eyes are now on the Jharkhand High Court hearing scheduled for today.

The outcome of the hearing will be closely watched by the candidates affected by the cancellation of the recruitment examinations.
