Jharkhand News : The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the CID has widened its probe into alleged irregularities in the JSSC-CGL examination. The SIT has so far questioned around 100 successful candidates, including nearly 20 candidates on Monday.
Candidates whose roles have emerged as suspicious during the investigation are being questioned in different phases and at different locations. On Tuesday, the SIT issued fresh summons to more than 24 successful candidates for further questioning.
Successful Candidates Summoned Again
According to information available, the SIT is seeking details about the candidates’ exam preparation, selection process, examination results and suspected activities. The investigating agency is also trying to determine whether the successful candidates had any contact with other suspects linked to the examination.
The CID is examining the links between successful candidates and a suspected network allegedly connected to the JSSC-CGL examination.
CID Continues Questioning Abhay Tiwari
Abhay Tiwari is also being questioned continuously in connection with alleged irregularities in the JSSC and JPSC examinations. The CID questioned him again on Monday.
Investigators consider Abhay Tiwari an important link in the case. He had cleared the CGL examination and secured a government job. He was also working as a marketing manager at TDPL. The CID is questioning him about the examination and his contacts with candidates.
SIT Searches Mithilesh Singh’s Residence
The SIT also conducted a search at the residence of Mithilesh Singh, who has emerged during the investigation as Abhay Tiwari’s mentor. The team reached his premises, carried out an investigation and collected facts related to the case.
Further investigation is being conducted on the basis of the information gathered. The SIT is examining the relationship between Abhay Tiwari and Mithilesh Singh, the alleged examination-related network and their contacts with candidates.
Sushma and Akshay Sent to Jail
After questioning Abhay Tiwari’s wife Sushma and his brother Akshay, both were sent to jail in the case. Information has also emerged that both had cleared the CGL examination and secured government jobs.
The SIT is examining their roles and their possible connections with other suspected candidates. The investigating agency is scrutinising documents and questioning candidates while examining links within the suspected network. More people may come under the scanner as the investigation progresses.
