Jharkhand News: Jharkhand’s karate players delivered an impressive performance at the WMSKF National Karate Championship 2026, held at the K.D. Singh Babu Stadium in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
After returning from the championship, the players met Jharkhand MLA Naveen Jaiswal and shared their experiences and achievements. Jaiswal congratulated the medal-winning players and assured them of all possible support and facilities to help them pursue their sporting careers.
Players from The Lions Martial Arts Academy, Dipa Toli, Pundag, Ranchi, put up a strong show at the national event. Kamlesh Oraon won a gold medal, while Anish Oraon secured a silver medal. Afrina Parveen, Sufiya Parveen, Ishtiaq Qureshi, Abu Rehan, Mansha Tamrakar and Keshav Kumar, among others, won bronze medals, bringing recognition to Ranchi and Jharkhand.
Academy Head Coach and General Secretary Ravi Oraon guided the players during the championship and also competed himself. He won a bronze medal in the Coach Fight category.
On the occasion, The Lions Martial Arts Academy team presented an Appreciation Certificate to MLA Naveen Jaiswal in recognition of his support, encouragement and contribution towards promoting sports and young talent.
Jaiswal congratulated the players and coach, saying that every possible effort would be made to support young sporting talent. He encouraged the players to continue working hard with discipline and wished them success in their upcoming competitions.
The Lions Martial Arts Academy team expressed its gratitude to Jaiswal for encouraging the players and supporting the development of sporting talent in Jharkhand.
