Jharkhand Kurash Team Heads to Ludhiana for September 5-6 Events

Jharkhand News : Jharkhand’s 20-member team has left for Ludhiana, Punjab, to participate in the Sub-Junior National Kurash Championship being held at Guru Nanak Stadium from September 4 to 6. Some members of the team departed from Ranchi Railway Station, while others left from Tatanagar Railway Station.

The players will report on September 4, when the official weigh-in will also be conducted. The competitions will be held on September 5 and 6.

Team to Compete Under Coaches and Officials

The Jharkhand team will compete under the supervision of team manager Prakash Ravidas, team coach Sneha Balmuchu and technical director Sandeep Kumar.

The team includes Lavanya Raj, Alia, Kartik Raj Mahto, Vaishnavi, Nehalka, Ronak Prasad, Nidhish Kumar, Vamika Vaibhav, Vindhya Vaibhav, Saraswati Mardi, Sheela Mahakur, Suleman Soren, Sunil Soren, Dharma Hembrom, Vikrant Kumar, Prince Kumar, Ayush Kumar and Roshni Mehta.

Cash Awards Announced for Medal Winners

On the occasion, Jharkhand Kurash Association president Ramswaroop Kumar and secretary Vineet Kumar Yadav encouraged the players.

They announced that children who win medals for Jharkhand will be given cash awards of Rs 5,100, Rs 2,100 and Rs 1,100. They also said that further initiatives would be taken for the benefit of the players.
