Jharkhand News : A police station in-charge in Hazaribagh district has allegedly assaulted Home Guard jawaan Manoj Kumar, according to the Jharkhand Home Guard Welfare Association. The incident has sparked anger within the association, while Dumri MLA Jairam Mahto has described the matter as serious and assured all possible support to help the jawaan seek justice.
Association Informs Jairam Mahto
Rajiv Kumar Tiwari, state general secretary of the Jharkhand Home Guard Welfare Association, spoke to MLA Jairam Mahto over the phone and briefed him about the incident.
He alleged that the concerned police station in-charge assaulted Home Guard jawaan Manoj Kumar. According to the association, the jawaan suffered injuries to his body and one of his fingers was fractured in the alleged assault.
Jairam Mahto Supports Demand for Fair Investigation
After being informed about the incident, Jairam Mahto said Home Guard personnel also perform their duties responsibly alongside the police and administration. He said any alleged mistreatment or assault of Home Guard personnel is a serious matter.
The MLA supported the demand for a fair investigation and action against the police station in-charge if found guilty.
Support for Home Guard Personnel’s Rights
Jairam Mahto said the dignity and rights of Home Guard personnel cannot be compromised. He assured the association that he would extend moral support to any democratic and constitutional efforts undertaken to seek justice in the matter.
