Ranchi : A tribute meeting was organised on Tuesday at Keshav Auditorium of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, following the demise of Shishu Vikas Mandir Samiti founding member and senior volunteer Gorakhnath Mishra.
Those present paid floral tributes to his portrait and remembered their association with him by sharing personal memories.
Contribution to School’s Growth Remembered
Addressing the gathering, school founding member Akhileshwar Nath Mishra recalled his long and close association with Gorakhnath Mishra.
He said Gorakhnath Mishra had made an important and significant contribution to the journey of Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, from its establishment to its continued growth.
He described his life as an inspiring example of dedication, service, discipline and commitment to the organisation.
Son Shares Memories of His Father
Gorakhnath Mishra’s son, Vijay Kumar Mishra, paid an emotional tribute to his father and shared memories associated with his life.
He said the ideals and values that his father followed throughout his life would continue to inspire the family and society.
Pawan Kumar Mantri, a patron member of the school and Mahanagar Sanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Ranchi Mahanagar, also paid tribute and remembered him as a hardworking worker and dedicated volunteer.
He said Gorakhnath Mishra’s simple, gentle and devoted personality would always be remembered.
Call to Follow His Path of Service and Dedication
School president Dr Narendra Dev Goswami said Gorakhnath Mishra led a simple and disciplined life and remained fully dedicated to the school.
He said following the path of service, discipline and dedication shown by him would be the truest tribute to his memory.
The tribute meeting was attended by Samiti co-secretary Narmadeshwar Mishra, treasurer Ashok Kumar, committee members Ashish Kumar Shahdev, Roshan Kumar, Anil Kumar Jha, Aniruddha Prasad and Amit Nandan.
School principal Lalan Kumar, vice-principal Meena Kumari, Sunil Kumar Pandey, all teachers of the school, senior volunteers of Keshav Nagar and Shiv Govind Pandey, along with several other dignitaries, were also present.
At the end of the programme, all those present observed a one-minute silence and prayed for peace and salvation of the departed soul. They also prayed to God to give strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
