Ranchi: Jharkhand is likely to witness another spell of intensified rainfall, with the weather department issuing a yellow alert for heavy rain in seven districts on September 10.
According to the weather department, heavy rainfall may occur at isolated places in Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Bokaro, Dhanbad and Giridih districts.
Rain and Lightning Likely Until September 14
The weather department has said that several parts of Jharkhand may continue to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning until September 14.
A yellow alert has been issued for the state, and people have been advised to remain particularly cautious during adverse weather conditions.
Ranchi Records Highest Rainfall in 24 Hours
During the past 24 hours, Ranchi recorded the highest rainfall in the state at 60.4 mm.
Chaibasa remained the hottest place in Jharkhand during the period, recording a maximum temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius. Latehar recorded the lowest temperature at 20.9 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday, the weather remained clear in Ranchi and adjoining areas during the morning. However, clouds covered the sky later in the afternoon, with scattered rainfall reported at some places.
Temperature Readings Across Major Cities
Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 31 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius.
Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 33.4 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius. Daltonganj recorded a maximum of 32.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.6 degrees Celsius.
In Bokaro, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.1 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 25.5 degrees Celsius. Chaibasa recorded a maximum temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24.6 degrees Celsius.
The latest IMD forecasts also indicate continuing rain and thunderstorm activity around September 10, with weather conditions varying across districts.
