A Major Gift for Bhagalpur: Four-Lane Road to be Built from Bhagalpur to Kharhara (Dhaka Mor); Tender Worth ₹583.47 Crore Issued

Bhagalpur: Another historic milestone has been achieved in the development of the Bhagalpur parliamentary constituency. An official tender has been issued for the widening and construction of a four-lane road on National Highway-133E, stretching from Bhagalpur to Kharhara village (Dhaka Mor). This ambitious project, spanning a total length of 36.600 kilometers, is estimated to cost ₹583.47 crore.

Expressing his delight at this significant achievement, Bhagalpur MP Ajay Kumar Mandal stated that this road has been his ‘dream project.’ He had been consistently pursuing the matter—from raising it in Parliament to engaging with the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways—to ensure its realization. It is as a result of his persistent efforts that the tender process has now commenced. The MP expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari for this contribution to the region.

MP Mandal noted that the conversion of NH-133E into a four-lane highway will not only make travel in and around Bhagalpur smoother and safer but will also result in significant time savings. Improved road connectivity will provide a fresh impetus to local trade, agriculture, tourism, and economic activities. Once the tender process is concluded and a contractor is selected, construction work will begin as soon as possible.

Congratulating the people of Bhagalpur on this historic development, the MP affirmed that his efforts toward the holistic growth of the region and the enhancement of its infrastructure will continue with the same dedication in the future.
