Offbeat News : ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ fame actress Dipika Kakar is currently battling cancer and has been undergoing treatment for the past two months. In a heartfelt post, she revealed that doctors had discovered a tennis ball-sized tumor in her liver, which had turned cancerous. She underwent liver cancer surgery nearly two months ago and has been on continuous treatment since then.
According to media reports, Dipika and her husband Shoaib Ibrahim shared with fans through their vlog that there is a risk of cancer returning. Doctors have advised her to continue treatment for at least one and a half years.
Dipika frequently shares health updates with her fans through her vlog. She recently revealed that she began therapy last month, which has been causing severe side effects. The actress said she has been suffering from hair loss, skin rashes, and ulcers due to the therapy.
In her latest social media update, Dipika shared a somber photo on Instagram, showing her without makeup, dark circles under her eyes, and a visibly tired expression. Alongside the picture, she wrote: “On some days when the treatment gets tough, even the simplest things feel difficult.”
She further mentioned that next month will mark three months since her surgery, after which she will undergo medical scans. Dipika said she is hopeful for positive results.
Earlier, on her 39th birthday, the actress penned an emotional note thanking her fans for their unconditional love and support through her most difficult phase.
