Adani Foundation Distributes Nutrition Kits to 80 TB Patients in Hazaribagh

Jharkhand News : In a continued effort to support healthcare in rural areas, the Adani Foundation distributed nutrition kits to 80 tuberculosis (TB) patients at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Barkagaon. This marks the first distribution camp under the fifth phase of the program, with monthly kits to be provided over the next five months.

Dr. Anju Prabha, Medical Officer at CHC Barkagaon, encouraged patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle and praised the foundation’s initiative. “Providing nutritional support to TB patients is a commendable step that will strengthen their recovery process,” she said.

Each patient also received informational pamphlets to promote awareness about TB care and recovery.

Notably, out of 120 registered TB patients this financial year, 40 have already fully recovered, indicating the program’s positive impact. The recovery efforts continue for the remaining 80.

Ongoing Efforts in Barkagaon Region

Beyond healthcare, the Adani Foundation is actively involved in education, women empowerment, skill development, farmer support, and rural development across Barkagaon. Recent initiatives include distribution of seeds and fertilizers to farmers, academic support for students, and self-employment training programs for women—all contributing to the region’s social progress.
