The tailoring training program was inaugurated at Mateshwari Marriage Hall in Gram Panchayat Bari by Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti President Renu Sehgal, along with Vice President Soma Mukherjee, Susmita Malik, and other members of the committee. The event was also attended by the project’s General Manager, N.K. Malik, and other senior officials.

The tailoring program will run in two batches, each consisting of 20 participants, with a duration of two months per batch. This initiative aims to strengthen the economic condition of displaced and project-affected families while enhancing their vocational skills.

In addition, the project has successfully launched an LMV driving training program for 30 candidates. The inauguration was again led by Renu Sehgal in the presence of committee members and project officials.

The presence of participants from project-affected villages added significance to the event. Beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for these initiatives and thanked the project management for creating opportunities.

These programs are designed to promote self-reliance among local youth and women, generate employment opportunities, and ensure economic empowerment. The Banherdi Coal Mining Project’s efforts are expected to become a milestone in fostering inclusive growth and community development in the region.
