Raksha Bandhan Symbolises Unity and Brotherhood: CM Hemant Soren
After receiving the Rakhi, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said Raksha Bandhan transcends barriers of caste, religion, class, and other social divisions. He noted that any sister can tie a Rakhi to any brother, who accepts it with respect and affection.
The Chief Minister said the festival strengthens the Indian philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”—the belief that the entire world is one family.
He added that if people embrace the values represented by Raksha Bandhan in their daily lives, society would witness greater love, brotherhood, peace, and communal harmony.
