Jharkhand News : Police have initiated preparations for bulldozer action against the house of notorious criminal Prince Khan in Wasseypur, following the Uttar Pradesh-style crackdown on organised crime. On Tuesday, DSP (Law and Order) Naushad Alam, along with a police team, reached Prince Khan’s residence located on Kamra Makhdumi Road, Niche Mohalla in Wasseypur.
In connection with an old Arms Act case registered at Bank More police station, attachment and seizure proceedings were carried out at the property. During the action, police removed the roof shed of the house. Officials said they had received information that Prince Khan’s associates were using the vacant house as a nighttime hideout.
Police confirmed that attachment notices had earlier been pasted at the property by Katras police station and that seizure action had already been conducted three times in the past. During earlier operations, doors and windows of the house were also removed.
According to police, the building was allegedly constructed in violation of rules, and investigations are underway to determine whether encroachment on neighbouring land has taken place. A joint inspection by the Circle Officer and the municipal corporation is expected soon.
Prince Khan has been absconding since 2021 and faces more than 70 criminal cases in Jharkhand. Police sources claim he fled to Dubai and later moved to Pakistan or another Gulf country after his visa expired. The latest action is also linked to the 2021 Nanhe murder case, in which arms were earlier recovered from his house.
