Jharkhand News : In a first for Jharkhand, Chandwara Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS) and Pipradih PACS have jointly been entrusted with the implementation of a Rural Water Supply Scheme in Tham Panchayat under Chandwara block.
The initiative marks the first time PACS in the state have been assigned the responsibility of executing a rural drinking water supply project. The development has been welcomed by local residents and farmers, who see it as a significant step toward improving access to safe drinking water.
Chandwara PACS Chairman Bijendra Kumar Yadav said the primary objective of the scheme is to provide clean and safe drinking water to people living in rural areas. He assured that the project would be implemented with complete transparency while maintaining high quality standards to ensure that its benefits reach every eligible household.
“Serving villagers and farmers is my top priority. It is our responsibility to implement the government’s welfare schemes with honesty and dedication. This project will improve drinking water facilities in Tham Panchayat and contribute to the overall development of the region,” Yadav said.
The allocation of such an important project to Chandwara and Pipradih PACS is being regarded as a major achievement for Chandwara block. Local residents expressed hope that the work would be completed within the stipulated timeframe and in accordance with quality standards, ensuring long-term benefits for rural communities.
The event was attended by District Cooperative Officer Ruma Jha, Assistant Registrar Akash Shubham, Executive Engineer of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Anuj Kumar Sinha, Assistant Engineer Suraj Kumar Das, Cooperative Extension Officer, Chandwara Sanjay Kumar, Bhima Kindo, Pipradih PACS Chairman Ramchandra Yadav, Aragaro PACS Chairman Parmeshwar Sao, and several other dignitaries.
