Cloudy Skies and Light Rain Likely in Jharkhand from October 15, IMD Forecasts

Jharkhand News : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted partly cloudy skies and light rainfall in several districts of Jharkhand from October 15 onwards. The weather office said that on October 15 and 16, most parts of the state are expected to witness intermittent clouds with chances of scattered showers.

On Monday, Ranchi and adjoining areas witnessed clear skies and bright sunshine in the morning, but cloud cover increased by afternoon, accompanied by moderate winds, bringing a slight chill to the atmosphere.

The minimum temperature in Ranchi has been gradually declining over the past few days. In the last three to four days, the city recorded a 2°C drop, from 21°C on October 9 to 19.8°C on Monday. Similar temperature drops have been observed across several other districts in the state.

In the past 24 hours, Pakur recorded the highest temperature at 34.5°C, while Latehar registered the lowest at 16.1°C. On Monday, Ranchi’s maximum temperature was 30.4°C, Jamshedpur 33.5°C, Daltonganj 29.8°C, Bokaro 31.1°C, and Chaibasa 34.4°C.

Meteorologists say the changing wind pattern and increased humidity could bring light rain and cooler evenings across parts of Jharkhand this week, marking the transition toward early winter conditions.
