Jharkhand News : On Sunday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed a dialogue program at Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Ranchi, highlighting the successful implementation of the Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme. He said that everyone’s support is crucial to make the state leading in progress.
Today marks the 82nd birth anniversary of Dishoam Guru Shibu Soren. The CM remembered his ideals, struggles, and contributions to social reform. Under his leadership, tribal and indigenous communities would unite for their rights. Guruji dedicated his life to eradicating social evils like the Mahajani system and promoting education for the coming generations.
The CM emphasized that Jharkhand is full of talent and resources. From minerals to tourism, education, and sports, the state has immense potential. The government is working to empower the youth so that every child in the state receives quality education. Programs like the Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme, 100% scholarships for higher education abroad, and the establishment of major libraries in all districts are steps in this direction.
Under the Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme, Jharkhand is the first state to offer students up to ₹15 lakh education loans at a nominal 4% interest rate. The CM encouraged students to take advantage of this scheme and promote it among others.

CM Fellowship Academic Excellence Scheme: Monthly scholarship of ₹25,000 for research scholars.

Grassroots Innovation Internship Scheme: 17,000 internship opportunities for graduate and postgraduate students, with ₹10,000 stipend.

New Libraries and Night Schools: Focused on tribal life and knowledge preservation.

Guruji Vatika: Online initiative dedicated to senior citizens.
The CM added that the aim is not to rely solely on government jobs but to make youth globally competitive through talent, skill, and innovation.
