Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, along with his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren, participated in the Sarhul festival celebrations at the Tribal College Hostel campus in Karmatoli on Saturday. The Chief Minister performed traditional rituals, praying for the prosperity and well-being of the state’s residents.
Addressing the gathering, CM Soren highlighted that Sarhul is more than just a festival; it is a symbol of the tribal community’s faith and deep connection with nature. He said the day is full of joy and holds great significance for the tribal society.
“We have gathered here every year, and we will continue to do so in the future,” he added.
Emphasizing the importance of preserving ancestral traditions, the Chief Minister noted that festivals like Sarhul remind people of the value of nature. “Nature is the foundation of creation and life, and human existence is impossible without it,” he said. He further stated, “There is no greater worship than worshipping nature.”
CM Soren urged people to reconnect with nature and protect it, especially in today’s materialistic world. Collective traditions, such as coming together at a single place for celebrations, strengthen community bonds and must be preserved.
During the event, the Chief Minister energized the crowd by playing the Mandar drum and extended heartfelt wishes to all citizens. He described Sarhul as a festival celebrating not only humans but also the joy of nature itself. He called upon everyone to safeguard the environment for future generations.
