Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and BJP state president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi have expressed grief over the martyrdom of two policemen in a fierce encounter with extremists in Palamu district.
Taking to social media on Thursday, CM Soren said it was deeply painful that constables Santan Mehta and Sunil Ram laid down their lives during a special operation in the Kedal forest of Manatu area. He prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families. He also wished for the speedy recovery of another injured jawan, who is under medical care.
Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi also paid tribute, stating that the supreme sacrifice of Santan Kumar and Sunil Ram would not go in vain. “We will remain forever grateful to the brave personnel who laid down their lives for peace in society. May God grant eternal peace to their souls and give strength to their families to bear this irreparable loss,” Marandi said.
