Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices Cut; No Change in Domestic LPG Rates

More News : Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders from today. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic 14.2 kg LPG cylinders, meaning household kitchen budgets will remain unaffected.

According to Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder has been cut by ₹4.50 to ₹6.50 across different cities. After the reduction, the new price in Delhi is ₹1,590.50, down from ₹1,595.50.

Last month, on October 1, OMCs had increased commercial LPG prices by up to ₹15, which had burdened hotels, restaurants, and small businesses dependent on LPG. The latest reduction is expected to bring some relief to these sectors.

Among metro cities, Kolkata saw the highest reduction of ₹6.50, bringing the price down to ₹1,694 from ₹1,700.50. In Mumbai, the new rate is ₹1,542 (down ₹5), while Chennai now stands at ₹1,750 (down ₹4.50).

In other major cities, the 19 kg commercial cylinder now costs ₹1,876 in Patna, Noida, and Lucknow, ₹1,853.50 in Bhopal, and ₹1,607 in Gurugram.

There has been no revision in domestic LPG cylinder prices. The last change was made on April 8, 2025, and current rates remain ₹853 in Delhi, ₹879 in Kolkata, ₹852.50 in Mumbai, ₹868.50 in Chennai, ₹890.50 in Lucknow, ₹860 in Ahmedabad, ₹905 in Hyderabad, ₹916.50 in Varanasi, and ₹951 in Patna.

Experts say commercial LPG prices are reviewed monthly based on international gas prices and the domestic tax structure. The recent price cut comes after a decline in global natural gas prices in October, prompting OMCs to adjust commercial rates downward for November.
