Jharkhand News : Tension flared in Ranchi on Thursday as workers of the Indian National Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party clashed over the NEET paper leak issue.
Police had erected barricades on Harmu Road to prevent confrontation, but workers from both parties allegedly broke through the barricades and came face-to-face.
The situation escalated when supporters from both sides threw eggs and tomatoes at each other, triggering a scuffle and creating chaos in the area.
Police personnel deployed at the spot intervened to bring the situation under control and separate the rival groups. Security has since been tightened in the area.
There has been no official confirmation so far regarding any injuries or detentions, and police continue to monitor the situation.
