Congress Slams BJP Over Vishnugarh Case, Demands Public Apology

Jharkhand News : A political confrontation has intensified in Ranchi following the revelation in the Vishnugarh case in Hazaribagh district. Alok Kumar Dubey, General Secretary of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party, accusing it of misleading the public and attempting to politicize the incident.

Dubey thanked the state police, including the Director General of Police and the Superintendent of Police of Hazaribagh, for their swift action in uncovering the truth. He said the prompt response by law enforcement agencies helped expose the reality behind the case.

According to Dubey, the BJP had spent the last five days creating an atmosphere of fear and confusion across the state. He alleged that party leaders were making demands for arrests without verified facts and were trying to give a political angle to the issue to disturb public harmony.

Taking a dig at BJP leaders, Dubey said there was a rush among them to hold press conferences during the incident. However, now that the truth has emerged, he challenged them to face the media again and apologize to the people of the state.

He further made serious allegations that the accused in the case was associated with the BJP and was seen moving around with senior party leaders while demanding action in the same case. Dubey termed this as highly unfortunate and accused the BJP of attempting to defame the state through a “well-planned conspiracy,” which, he claimed, ultimately failed.

The Congress leader also alleged that criminal elements such as coal mafias, sand mafias, mining operators, and other offenders receive protection from the BJP. He directly targeted the state BJP leadership, including the party president and Leader of Opposition, demanding that they issue a public apology.

Warning of further action, Dubey said that if the BJP fails to apologize, Congress workers will take to the streets and launch a strong protest against the party. He emphasized that in sensitive matters, investigation agencies should be given time to carry out their work independently. However, he accused the BJP of politicizing the issue from the beginning, which he described as irresponsible and condemnable.

The controversy has further escalated political tensions in Jharkhand, with both parties likely to intensify their stance in the coming days.
