Jharkhand News : Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri and Senior Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan conducted a late-night bike tour across various Durga Puja pandals in Ranchi on Sunday. The inspection aimed to ensure law and order, security arrangements, and other essential services ahead of the festive rush.
During their visit, the DC reviewed security protocols, traffic management, crowd control measures, and essential facilities such as drinking water, lighting, and cleanliness at the major pandals. He also interacted with the Durga Puja committees to understand their preparations and challenges.
SSP Rakesh Ranjan assessed the deployment of police forces, surveillance systems, and emergency response readiness. He emphasized the importance of effective CCTV coverage, police pickets, and mobile patrol units.
Both officials instructed the respective authorities to ensure constant vigilance and adequate police deployment around all major pandals and surrounding areas.
To avoid traffic congestion and maintain public order, special traffic regulations have been implemented during the festive days.
The DC also reviewed emergency services including fire safety, medical facilities, and quick response mechanisms to deal with unforeseen situations.
“Durga Puja is one of the most important cultural and religious festivals of Ranchi. Our goal is to provide a safe and peaceful environment for all devotees,” said DC Bhajantri. “The district administration is taking all necessary steps to prevent any inconvenience.”
SSP Ranjan added, “The district administration is fully alert, and comprehensive security arrangements are in place. Our teams are monitoring the situation round the clock. We urge the public to report any suspicious activity immediately to the police.”
The district administration also appealed to the citizens to maintain peace, follow traffic rules, and reach out to the nearest police station or helpline in case of emergencies.
The administration remains committed to ensuring that the Durga Puja celebrations are carried out with joy, peace, and complete safety.
