ESL Steel Celebrates Teachers’ Day, Honouring Mentors and Inspiring the Next Generation

Bokaro: ESL Steel Limited celebrated Teachers’ Day across its CSR project sites, paying tribute to teachers, coaches and mentors for their contribution to shaping young minds and nurturing future talent.

The celebrations were organised across eight Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) and 12 Nandghars under Project Shiksha. More than 900 students participated in activities including quiz competitions, drawing contests and gift distribution.

The programme gave students an opportunity to express their gratitude towards their teachers while encouraging creativity, learning and participation.

Teachers’ Day Celebrations at Learning Centres

Students across the Learning Resource Centres and Nandghars took part in a range of activities organised as part of the Teachers’ Day celebrations.

The initiative brought together students from different CSR project locations and highlighted the role of teachers and mentors in education and personal development.

Young Archers Honour Their Coaches and Mentors

The celebrations also extended to the ESL Archery Academy, where young archers came together to honour their coaches and mentors.

The Academy has been playing an important role in nurturing sporting talent. Since its inception, 56 archers have received training, providing young athletes with opportunities to develop their skills and pursue sporting excellence.

CEO Highlights Role of Teachers and Mentors

Commenting on the occasion, Mr Ravish Sharma, CEO and Whole-Time Director, ESL Steel Limited, said:

Over 930 Beneficiaries Participate

Overall, more than 930 beneficiaries participated in the Teachers’ Day celebrations across ESL Steel’s CSR project sites.

Through Project Shiksha, ESL Steel benefited 1,548 students during FY 2025-26. Vedanta AAS Vidyalaya has also engaged more than 1,700 beneficiaries since its inception, strengthening access to quality education and digital learning opportunities in surrounding communities.

The Teachers’ Day celebrations reaffirmed ESL Steel’s commitment to education, youth development and community empowerment while recognising the important role of teachers, coaches and mentors in building confident, capable and empowered communities.
