Jharkhand News : Five people were injured after a Scorpio SUV lost one of its wheels while in motion and crashed into a road divider on the Ranchi–Patna highway near Charadih in Koderma district late Tuesday night.
The injured were rushed to Koderma Sadar Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
According to local residents, the family of Phulia Birhor, a resident of Phulwaria, had travelled to Chatra to attend a wedding function. They were returning home late at night in the Scorpio when the vehicle suddenly lost a wheel near Charadih.
The driver lost control of the SUV after the wheel came off, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and collide with the divider. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the vehicle.
The accident triggered panic in the area, and local residents immediately informed the police. A team from Koderma Police reached the spot, rescued the injured occupants, and shifted them to Sadar Hospital for medical treatment.
The injured have been identified as Savita Birhor (15), daughter of Devendra Birhor; Devendra Birhor (35), son of Ramvriksh Birhor; Muniyata Birhorni (20), daughter of Ramvriksh Birhor; Anita Birhorni (40), wife of Brahmadev Birhor; and Phulia Birhorni (50).
Doctors said all the injured are under medical observation, while police have initiated an investigation into the accident.
