Jharkhand News : Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL), Patratu, celebrated the 77th Republic Day in an atmosphere filled with patriotism, enthusiasm and dignity. The programme commenced with an impressive parade by CISF, DGR, students of DAV School and the Fire Services team, reflecting discipline, unity and national pride.
Addressing the gathering, PVUNL Chief Executive Officer A. K. Sehgal expressed satisfaction over the progress of the power plant and the Banharadih Coal Mining Project. He encouraged everyone to contribute towards sustainable business growth and reiterated that safety remains the organisation’s top priority. He also appreciated the role of the Employee Development Centre in enhancing the skills and competencies of employees.
Following his address, colourful balloons were released into the sky as a symbol of patriotism, hope and collective aspirations. An attractive tableau by Bal Bhavan was presented thereafter, highlighting sustainable development and NTPC’s core values. Children from Little Gems School mesmerised the audience with patriotic songs and dance performances.
Continuing the cultural programme, students of Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya presented a beautiful traditional Jharkhandi dance. This was followed by an emotional dance performance on the theme “Sindoor” by students of Srijan School. The event further featured an exciting combat show by a CISF contingent, which drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.
On the occasion, the Humanity Award was presented to employees who provided free coaching to SSC GD aspirants even beyond their official working hours. Their mentor, Dipesh Ji, was also felicitated for his dedicated efforts. In addition, a felicitation ceremony for the CISF Best Performer Award was held, and several employees were honoured with the CEO Meritorious Award for their outstanding contributions.
The programme was graced by the presence of Renu Sehgal, President of Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti and Ladies Club. Senior officials including Vishnu Datta Das (General Manager, Project), Shri Jogesh Chandra Patra (General Manager, Operations), Manish Kheterpal (General Manager, O&M), Jiaur Rahman (HoH–HR), along with a large number of employees and their family members, were also present.
The grand celebration conveyed a powerful message of patriotism, social responsibility, sustainable development and strong organisational values.
