Jharkhand News : Grizzly School, Tilaiya Dam, celebrated the birth anniversary of legendary Hindi author and novelist Munshi Premchand with great enthusiasm, reverence, and literary spirit. The event aimed to familiarize students with Premchand’s life, literary contributions, and human values while fostering an interest in reading and literature.
The programme commenced with students paying floral tributes to Munshi Premchand’s portrait, followed by a rendition of Saraswati Vandana, creating a solemn and inspiring atmosphere.
Addressing the gathering, teacher Hema Rajput described Munshi Premchand as not only a celebrated writer but also a thoughtful social reformer. She said his works continue to inspire readers with messages of truth, honesty, compassion, equality, and social responsibility. She encouraged students to read Premchand’s literature and imbibe his ideals in their daily lives.
Students of Class VII played a key role in the celebrations. Student Sagar impressed the audience by portraying Munshi Premchand in a stage play based on the author’s life. Krish Kumar played Premchand’s friend Dayaram, Kumar Abhinav portrayed the Collector, and Parth Singh enacted the role of a police constable. Their performances received widespread appreciation from the audience.
Student Supriya Rani conducted a quiz on Munshi Premchand’s life and literary works, with enthusiastic participation from students. Kumari Bharti and several other participants answered questions correctly and were awarded prizes by the school.
Another highlight of the programme was Mansa Kumari’s expressive presentation of Premchand’s renowned short story Mantra, which was warmly applauded by the audience. The students’ literary and cultural performances added vibrancy to the celebration.
In a joint message, CEO Prakash Gupta and Principal Anjana Kumari said that Munshi Premchand’s writings vividly reflect the soul of Indian society and continue to inspire young minds with values of sensitivity, morality, and social responsibility. They emphasized that the works of great literary figures play a vital role in shaping responsible citizens and building a stronger society.
The event was successfully organized with the support of teachers Amaresh Kumar, Hema Rajput, Shalini Sinha, Bobby Anand, and other faculty members and staff. The programme was anchored by student Vidushi Kumari, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Amaresh Kumar.
The celebration concluded with a collective pledge by students to cultivate the habit of reading quality literature and uphold human values in their lives.
