Hemant Soren Govt Launches Free JEE-NEET Coaching for ST Students

Jharkhand News : In a major step toward strengthening education in Jharkhand, the Hemant Soren government has launched a free coaching initiative for students preparing for competitive examinations. On Monday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren inaugurated the Dishom Guru Shibu Soren JEE and NEET Coaching Institute at Hindpiri in Ranchi.

Under this initiative, 300 Scheduled Tribe (ST) students will receive free coaching for engineering and medical entrance examinations. The program has been started by the Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare Department with the aim of providing quality education to underprivileged students.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister announced that similar coaching institutes will soon be established across the state for the preparation of JPSC, UPSC, SSC, Banking, Railway and Management examinations. He said that Jharkhand’s youth will no longer need to go outside the state for high-quality coaching, as world-class facilities will now be available in Ranchi itself.

CM Hemant Soren emphasized that the institute will not only function as an educational hub but will also serve as a symbol of social and cultural unity. He urged students to preserve and share their language, culture and traditions to strengthen Jharkhand’s diversity and harmony.

Expressing confidence in the government’s efforts, the Chief Minister said these initiatives would position Jharkhand among the leading states in the field of education in the coming years. The state government remains committed to ensuring access to quality education for every child and equal opportunities for every youth.

New Wings for Students’ Dreams

The Chief Minister said that education is not just a means of gaining knowledge but the most powerful tool for self-reliance and empowerment. In line with this vision, several welfare schemes are being implemented in the state.

Through the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, adolescent girls are receiving educational opportunities along with encouragement toward self-reliance. Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship Schemes are providing financial assistance to students from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and minority communities for higher education.

So far, 80 Excellent Schools have been established in Jharkhand, and 100 more are currently under development. Under the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship Scheme, tribal and native students are receiving full government support for higher education in foreign universities.

Additionally, the Guruji Credit Card Scheme has emerged as a key initiative, enabling students to avail education loans of up to ₹15 lakh, which can be repaid in easy installments after securing employment.
