Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met Australian Consul General in Kolkata Bernard Lynch at the Chief Minister’s residential office on Kanke Road, Ranchi, on Wednesday. The meeting was a courtesy call.
During the meeting, Soren and Lynch discussed ways to take bilateral relations between Jharkhand and Australia to a new level. They also explored possibilities of promoting strategic partnerships in various areas of mutual interest.
Cooperation in Key Sectors Discussed
The discussions covered several important sectors, including education, minerals, skill development and investment. Possibilities of cooperation in culture, sports and tourism were also discussed in detail.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Jharkhand and Australia across these areas of mutual interest.

State Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar was present during the meeting. Angelina Nair, Senior Research and Visit Officer at the Australian Consulate General in Kolkata, also attended the interaction.
