Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) president and Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed party leaders during the second day of a training programme held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Ranchi, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that every eligible citizen is included in the voter list.
He urged party MPs, MLAs, and officials to correct errors in electoral rolls and ensure no eligible voter is left out, calling it a crucial step in protecting democratic rights. He stressed that the process is not merely administrative but central to safeguarding constitutional participation.
The Chief Minister also discussed key issues including the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the upcoming census. He called upon party workers to remain vigilant and actively engage with the public to raise awareness about voter registration.
Hemant Soren further directed the strengthening of the organization at booth, panchayat, block, and district levels, along with making urban units more active and effective.
During the meeting, party leaders raised concerns over the SIR process, alleging possible political misuse affecting marginalized communities including tribal, backward, and underprivileged groups.
The programme, chaired by the Chief Minister, was conducted by General Secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey, who said the training aimed to prepare workers for grassroots-level electoral awareness and organizational strengthening.
