Jharkhand News : Amid the ongoing student protest in Jharkhand, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari on Sunday made an emotional appeal to the protesting students, urging them to continue their democratic struggle without putting their lives and health at risk.
The Health Minister said that students have every right to protest democratically for their demands and rights, but compromising their health in the process is not advisable.
Dr. Irfan Ansari said the state government is taking the students’ demands and concerns seriously and is making efforts to find a positive solution through dialogue and democratic means. He appealed to the students to keep the channel of communication open.
No Student Will Be Denied Treatment
The Health Minister said that if any student falls ill during the agitation or requires hospitalisation, the government will ensure proper medical treatment.
He said both government and private hospitals have been directed not to deny treatment to any protesting student. No money will be charged from the students for their treatment, and the necessary expenses will be borne by the state government and the Health Department.
Medical Teams Deployed at Protest Site
Dr. Ansari said that medical teams from the Health Department have also been deployed at the protest site as required. The teams will monitor the health of the students and provide immediate medical assistance in case of an emergency.
Appeal to Avoid Hunger Strike
The Health Minister appealed to the students to avoid extreme steps such as fasting and hunger strikes. He said the students should continue to raise their demands, but should not put their health at risk.
He said, “Your voice is important and your struggle matters, but your life is even more precious.”
Dr. Ansari said the youth of Jharkhand are the future of the state and their safety and health remain a priority for the government.
He urged the students to trust the government and cooperate in finding a solution through dialogue. He reiterated that the government stands with the students and is taking their concerns seriously, while appealing to them to avoid hunger strikes and move the process of resolving their issues forward through dialogue.
