Jharkhand News : The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at Saraswati Vidya Mandir located in Rajrappa Project. The programme began with the worship of Bharat Mata, followed by the hoisting of the National Flag by chief guest Lalan Kumar Rai, President of the school and Project Officer.
This year, for the first time, ‘Vande Mataram’ was collectively sung by students, teachers and guests before the flag hoisting, in accordance with the new guidelines and protocol of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The entire school campus was filled with patriotic spirit.
Call to Youth to Contribute to Nation-Building
School Principal Umesh Prasad introduced the guests present on the stage. Addressing the gathering, chief guest Lalan Kumar Rai paid tribute to the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
He said that young people and students have a crucial role in the progress of the nation. He urged students to embrace discipline, hard work, values and patriotism in their lives and actively contribute to nation-building.
School Secretary Chandrashekhar Choudhary extended Independence Day greetings and said everyone should always remain committed to protecting the honour, dignity and pride of the motherland. He urged students to play their part in preserving the country’s unity, integrity and glory.
Kiran Kumari, Mukhiya of Dakshini Sevai, Suraj Giri, along with several dignitaries, parents and members of the school community, attended the programme.
Cultural Performances Win Hearts
Students presented a colourful cultural programme filled with patriotic themes. Dance performances, patriotic songs, speeches, yoga exercises, a pyramid display and a play based on ‘Operation Sindoor’ moved and impressed the audience.
The performances reflected the courage, valour and dedication of the country’s soldiers towards the nation. The school campus echoed with slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” during the celebrations.
Meritorious Students Honoured
Students who performed exceptionally well in the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 examinations were felicitated on the occasion and wished a bright future.
The school management and parents expressed happiness over the students’ achievements. The programme was anchored under the leadership of teacher Gayatri Kumari by students Nisha Gorai, Shweta Kumari and Aradhya Shahdev.
