Irfan Ansari Walks Off Stage During HPV Event After PM’s Remark

Jharkhand News : A political controversy erupted during the launch of the nationwide HPV vaccination campaign against cervical cancer at Sadar Hospital in Ranchi, where Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari walked off the stage during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual address.

What Did the Prime Minister Say?

During his speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made remarks criticizing the Congress party, stating that “INC has now become Indian Maoist Congress.” The comment reportedly made Minister Irfan Ansari uncomfortable, prompting him to leave the stage mid-address.

After stepping down, Ansari told the media that the event was related to public health and should not have been used as a political platform. He said political statements were inappropriate at such a program.

Audio Muted Briefly

Sources said that when the Prime Minister was criticizing Congress, the audio at the venue was briefly muted, which added to the controversy. The sound was later restored.

BJP’s Reaction

Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth criticized the move, saying it was inappropriate to mute the Prime Minister’s speech. He added that walking out during the Prime Minister’s address was not in keeping with proper decorum.

The incident has since triggered political reactions, with both sides defending their positions.
