Jharkhand News : In a major development in the high-profile investment fraud case from Jamshedpur’s Sakchi police station area, a fresh FIR has been registered on court orders, naming several well-known film personalities along with the directors of the accused company.
The new FIR names Bollywood actors Govinda, Chunky Pandey, Shakti Kapoor, singer-actor Manoj Tiwari, and Mexizone Touch Private Limited directors Chandrabhooshan Singh and his wife Priyanka Singh. The company’s directors are already lodged in judicial custody.
FIR Filed Following Court Direction
Sakchi police station in-charge Anand Mishra confirmed that the FIR was lodged strictly in compliance with a court directive. He said the registration of a new case will help intensify and widen the scope of the investigation.
₹8 Lakh Investment, Promise of 15% Monthly Returns
The case has been registered based on a complaint filed by Jaspal Singh, a resident of the Burma Mines police station area. According to the complaint, he invested nearly ₹8 lakh in the company after being assured of 15 percent monthly returns. Despite repeated follow-ups, neither the principal amount nor any returns were paid back.
Celebrity Presence Boosted Investor Confidence
The complainant alleged that the presence of prominent film personalities at the company’s grand promotional events created a strong sense of trust among investors. Lavish stages, large gatherings and celebrity speeches allegedly played a key role in convincing people about the company’s credibility.
Over ₹600 Crore Scam Suspected
Investigating agencies suspect that Mexizone Touch Private Limited may have siphoned off more than ₹600 crore, affecting over 25,000 investors across multiple regions. The company’s main office was located in Jamshedpur’s Sakchi area, from where its operations were allegedly managed.
Role of Celebrities Under Scrutiny
Police officials said the investigation will examine whether the celebrities were merely involved in brand promotion or if they actively encouraged investments. Authorities are expected to scrutinize event videos, promotional materials, contractual agreements, payment records and bank transactions to determine individual roles.
With the matter back under judicial scrutiny, public attention is now firmly on the findings of the investigation and the next course of legal action based on evidence and witness statements.
