Jharkhand Chief Minister Holds High-Level Meeting with Union Coal Minister Satish Chandra Dubey

Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high-level meeting with Union Minister of State for Coal, Satish Chandra Dubey, on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s chamber in the Jharkhand Assembly. The discussion focused on coal mining activities, environmental balance, employment generation for local residents, and regional development.

During the meeting, CM Soren emphasized Jharkhand’s interests, stressing the participation of local people in mining operations, job creation, maintaining ecological balance, and maximizing state revenue from mining activities.

The Chief Minister also insisted that once mining operations conclude, the land should be returned by the central government to the state government so it can be restored to the original landowners. He further highlighted the need to prioritize rehabilitation, employment, environmental conservation, and infrastructure development in mining-affected areas.

Union Minister Satish Chandra Dubey responded positively to the concerns raised, assuring that the central and state governments would work collaboratively to find effective solutions. He pledged full support from the Centre for Jharkhand’s development and welfare of its people.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Secretary of Mines Arwa Rajkamal, Director of Mines Rahul Sinha, CMDs of CMPDI Manoj Kumar, BCCL Sameeran Dutta, CCL Neelendu Kumar Singh, and DTM BCCl M.K. Agarwal.
