Jharkhand News : On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and BJP state president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi conveyed greetings and paid tribute to teachers.

Taking to social media platform X on Friday, CM Soren wrote: “Teachers are guiding lights in life. On this Teacher’s Day, I bow to all gurus and educators. My teacher, my guide was the late Baba Dishom Guru. His life, filled with affection, struggle, sensitivity, and neutrality, has always been a source of inspiration. Though Baba is no longer with us physically, his teachings, thoughts, and ideals will continue to empower us. Long live Baba Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.”

BJP leader Babulal Marandi also remembered former President and renowned educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary. Posting on X, he wrote: “Heartfelt greetings and best wishes to everyone on Teacher’s Day. Humble tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.”

Teacher’s Day is celebrated across India on September 5 every year, marking the birth anniversary of Dr. Radhakrishnan. The tradition began in 1962 when his students sought permission to celebrate his birthday. Instead, Dr. Radhakrishnan urged them to observe the day as Teacher’s Day to honor the invaluable contribution of teachers.
