Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accompanied by his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren, visited the residence of the late Education Minister Ramdas Soren in Ghorabandha, Jamshedpur, on Wednesday. The Chief Minister offered floral tributes to Ramdas Soren’s portrait and paid his heartfelt respects.

After paying tribute, the Chief Minister met with the grieving family members and expressed his deep condolences. He prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Hemant Soren said, “The passing of Ramdas Soren, just weeks after the demise of Dishom Guru and my father Shibu Soren, is an unbearable pain for me. My heart is deeply saddened. His demise is a great and irreparable loss not only for me but for the entire state of Jharkhand.”
He added that Ramdas Soren had carved out a unique identity through struggle and was a key figure in the Jharkhand movement under the leadership of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren. Known for his simplicity and humility, Ramdas Soren remained committed to social causes and was always there for the people in need.
The Chief Minister also praised Ramdas Soren’s work as School Education and Literacy Minister. “He initiated several reforms to ensure quality education in government schools and worked diligently to strengthen educational infrastructure. He was especially focused on the holistic development of underprivileged children from rural areas,” Soren said.
It is noteworthy that Jharkhand’s Education Minister Ramdas Soren passed away on August 15 while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.
