Jharkhand Health Cottage: 40% State, 60% Center Funding

Jharkhand News : Health Minister Irfan Ansari held a key meeting in New Delhi with Union AYUSH Minister and Central Health State Minister Pratap Rao Jadhav to discuss major reforms in Jharkhand’s health sector. The discussion focused on enhancing medical education, modern healthcare facilities, and implementing advanced medical technologies in the state.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the state government will provide the required land for Health Cottages, bearing 40% of the total project cost, while the remaining 60% will be funded by the central government. Other topics included the establishment of an Ayurvedic University, strengthening all state medical colleges, upgrading RIMS and Sadar Hospital in Ranchi, and introducing seven AI-based high-tech medical labs across Jharkhand.

The Union Minister invited the Jharkhand team to Delhi, assuring full technical and administrative support from the central government. Minister Ansari said the state team will soon present detailed proposals for approval.

This initiative is considered a major step toward creating a robust healthcare system in tribal-dominated and backward regions of the state, aiming to bring modern health services closer to citizens.
